Solar Wind Hybrid System

On earth, during the day when sunlight is strong, wind speeds are low; but at nights, as the surface of the earth cools, wind speeds increase. Since the peak for wind flow and sunlight occur at different times of the day and year, wind and solar energy complement each other. A hybrid solar-wind power system can lower the overall cost of the system as well as balance out the fluctuating solar and wind resources.
